c5 Challenge : Choosy Chicks Choose Chicklets Challenge

I ultimately decided to add electric blue to the lovely green of the Sue Bead... along with some shades of green that match *perfectly*. There are China glass faceted beads, Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and stick pearls...

 The blue crystals are coated clear rock crystal quartz.

See? Perfect! :)

I adore how this set turned out! I think it's just lovely.

Yes, those are all strands of freshwater pearls... one of my favorite materials to work with! I think they're a perfect match to the chicklet bead...

Here is my Bead Soup Blog Party Post! (Click there if you want to go straight to it!).

SO! I am participating in yet ANOTHER blog hop. This one is hosted by A Grateful Artist aka Pine Ridge Treasures. :)

This is one of the pieces I made out of the beads I was given- it is made from magnesite two-holed spikes, cultured orange sea glass beads (matte), and seed bead glass daggers in clear. It kind of reminds me of spiky coral... at the very least, it's a very FUN piece of jewelry!

This is a pretty cool FISHY necklace... The focal is one I made for a Bead Soup Blog Party Blogger/Non-Blogger Challenge... here's the link... CLICK. The theme to THAT contest was "Under The Sea" which fits pretty well with our Ocean Blog Hop that's happening today! :)

I used carnelian, glass rondelles in orange, and light light light green pearls. This focal is made from polymer clay, and has an Aventurine embedded in it. I create most of my beads using my fingers and a few simple tools...

This one is my absolute favorite out of the ones I made... I used a brass chandelier finding and blended it with copper, carnelian, brass and another polymer clay focal... this one has a green catseye embedded in it, with three crystazzi crystals as the fishy's air bubbles. Is it not the CUTEST little focal you've ever seen? *winks*

Here is another lovely necklace and earring set that I made for this challenge- I cannot believe how much jewelry I've made so far from the beads that were sent. WOWSA.

I made my own headpins- first time I ever tried to do this- I thought they turned out pretty darn good! :)

I used those larger sea glass discs in frosted white and orange- I also used yellow shell and 6mm frosted orange rounds!

The stone in this heart focal is sodalite. :) 

As you can probably tell, I had a ton of fun making stuff for this blog hop/challenge. :)

I know I posted in the original blog post that I was in the June 14th reveal, but I volunteered to switch to the May 31st reveal. :) That's why the dates of the two posts don't match. Just so you know!

Sea Glass Explosion!

So, I am once again participating in a lovely blog hop- this time sponsored by Bill of ZnetShows! He has some lovely, and I mean LOVELY, beachy manufactured sea glass.

This was my first project using his sea glass- a lovely copper, blue shards and Swarovski crystal bracelet!

This is my second project, which I have to admit isn't TOO BAD for my very first attempt at making a wire-worked cuff:

This was my next project, some dainty and cute feather earrings on some very soft green sea glass:

Tibetan silver feathers, silver-plated wire, and sterling silver earrings hooks with the soft green beach glass!

Did I mention that Bill sent me a TON of sea glass?! These were my next project- I mean, who can resist some swanky cats and fish bones?

Again, Tibetan silver kitty cats, pewter fish bones, white/translucent sea glass from ZnetShows, silver-plated wire, and sterling silver earrings wires!

This is, BY FAR, my favorite out of everything I made so far. Czech? glass ovals and stars, blended with Swarovski crystals, Sea Glass from ZnetShows, some blue chalcedony on copper!

Overall, I am absolutely THRILLED with the Beach Glass Beads from ZnetShows- very, very impressed. By the way, they also do wholesale!

What I Gave My Partner (Andrea T) for Bead Soup Blog Party (BSBP7)

A lovely mishmash of mostly greens and a little bit of brown and some pink. I also gave her all black findings, (toggle clasps, earwires, and other findings). The idea was to use the fancy jasper as the main focus of the design, so all the colors blend well together. :) But that's just MY idea. I can't wait to see what Andrea does!

The focals on the left are made by me, ZenithJade Creations! You can find more focals like them in my Etsy shop, here: http://ZenithJade.etsy.com/ ! I also included a brown and green jasper? focal that's on the bottom right in case the others wouldn't fit her color scheme. (They're a mix of brown, copper, pink and translucent!)

As you can probably tell from the photo, I included a diverse variety of goodies to choose from! In the middle top is a strand of irregular freshwater pearls...

Here's the heart focal I made for Andrea. Isn't it cool? I embedded three Swarovski crystals into the heart. It also has a place to hang dangles from! :)

Here's an up-close view of some Czech? glass beads that are black & green, some fancy jasper and green aventurine. YUM!

Andrea T just received my beads YESTERDAY, so I can post about what I gave her safely now. :) I'm sorry if these pictures are a little washed out- I edited them in photoshop so they wouldn't be so bad! *laughs* You can keep up with Andrea's blog here to see what she does with all the goodies! YAY!
