Pine Ridge Treasures: Favorite Things, A Blog Hop!

Pine Ridge Treasure: Favorite Things, A Blog Hop!!!
Here's a link to the other participants (CLICK) and the group (CLICK). :)

This is a bracelet I made for my brother using some of the blue crystals in my kit.

I used the matte clear sea glass, the blue crystals and a glass sand dollar from my kit!

The only thing here I used from my kit were the mother of pearl beads. The lampwork glass focal is by Valerie O'Neal, (she makes some really stellar beads!) I accented the lampwork focal with a coated quartz crystal point in a matching shade of blue. I also used light yellow popcorn pearls with some lovely faceted cubes. I don't know if you can tell, but all these colors are in the lampwork focal I used.

This uses the blue crystals again! (I received a whole stand of those!) I blended them with some light blue seaglass (from the kit), light blue freshwater pearls and some crystal-encrusted rondelles. Very pretty!!!

This one uses elements from my kit again- I used the orange sea glass and the yellow-orange mother of pearl beads, blended with chain and I made a simple pair of matching earrings to go with the necklace.

These are probably my favorite! :) Acrylic rainbow beads are blended with light blue seaglass (from the kit) and those silly light blue faceted rondelles again. LOL! I adore how they turned out!

"Teal Goddess" - A Bead Soup Cafe Challenge/Contest on Facebook!

Upper left: a close-up view of the spiral (galaxy) wrapping I did on every bead, minus the focal.
Upper right: an overall view of the necklace
Bottom left: how the necklace hangs (self-portrait, that's why the pic is crooked! LOL!).
Bottom right: the focal is by Michelle Mahre. Isn't it pretty?

I blended this necklace together using Michelle's focal, blue sky jasper and genuine turquoise. And LOTS of copper wire!!! LOL!

This is the inspiration photo. :) The "Teal Goddess". To see all the entries, go here.

And the WINNERS are ANNOUNCED! Please click here! (Psssst! I'm one of them!).

Angel's Beaded Poetry & Contests!

So, I've been entering a lot of contests lately, (actually, I can't seem to resist them!). And oddly enough, I've been winning some really cool stuff! I guess it's true that you can't win if you don't enter. :) Don't be afraid to enter contests!!! They're a ton of fun and you get to meet new people through them, which in my humble opinion is the best part! :)

So far on the list is a digital subscription to Bead Style Magazine from All Pretty Things & Zinio, a lovely ring from O'Sebastian, (see this post), a bead raffle from http://beadswap-usa.com/, some cool gifts from Diana (she threw in names from Bead Swap USA and I was one of the chosen), and this LOVELY NECKLACE from Angel's Beaded Poetry, (and here's a link to her Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AngelsBeadedPoetry):

This is me wearing my lovely new necklace!
You can find Angelique's jewelry here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AngelsBeadedPoetry
and her facebook page here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/AngelsBeadedPoetry

Her wire-working skills are just AMAZING. Just look at this necklace:

Like I said, A M A Z I N G . :)

What I Gave My Partner (Andrea T) for Bead Soup Blog Party (BSBP7)

A lovely mishmash of mostly greens and a little bit of brown and some pink. I also gave her all black findings, (toggle clasps, earwires, and other findings). The idea was to use the fancy jasper as the main focus of the design, so all the colors blend well together. :) But that's just MY idea. I can't wait to see what Andrea does!

The focals on the left are made by me, ZenithJade Creations! You can find more focals like them in my Etsy shop, here: http://ZenithJade.etsy.com/ ! I also included a brown and green jasper? focal that's on the bottom right in case the others wouldn't fit her color scheme. (They're a mix of brown, copper, pink and translucent!)

As you can probably tell from the photo, I included a diverse variety of goodies to choose from! In the middle top is a strand of irregular freshwater pearls...

Here's the heart focal I made for Andrea. Isn't it cool? I embedded three Swarovski crystals into the heart. It also has a place to hang dangles from! :)

Here's an up-close view of some Czech? glass beads that are black & green, some fancy jasper and green aventurine. YUM!

Andrea T just received my beads YESTERDAY, so I can post about what I gave her safely now. :) I'm sorry if these pictures are a little washed out- I edited them in photoshop so they wouldn't be so bad! *laughs* You can keep up with Andrea's blog here to see what she does with all the goodies! YAY!
