My contest piece for the Blu Mudd challenge! Moriah Betterly makes these lovely ceramic components and hosts contests and challenges for jewelry designers. This time she provided us with a lovely kit containing the clasp, the amazing bird pendant and the teal ceramic beads...

I crocheted a five strand necklace using 24 gauge copper wire and used the following beads:

labradorite, amazonite, vintage ivory glass pearls, Czech Preciosa crystal in copper, and green ceramic beads-->

all of which I had in my stash and matched perfectly with the beads that Moriah sent! I was a VERY happy camper!

I blended this necklace together using Michelle's focal, blue sky jasper and genuine turquoise. And LOTS of copper wire!!! LOL!

7000 Bracelets for Hope & a Giveaway!

So, I'm going to enter another contest... this one has a condition that I would be happy to fulfill- donate a bracelet to 7000 Bracelets for Hope. I've been drooling over beads. I just can't seem to have enough of them, (of course not!). But I'm going to have to focus on purchasing some supplies like jewelry boxes, organza bags, and packaging materials. Oi! I wish I could just keep buying beads... Wishing wishing wishing.

If all goes to plan, I'll be attending the Bead and Button Show in Milwaukee this June! I will not be taking any classes, (I'm getting there for the tail end of the show, methinks), but I will be on a bead buying frenzy! :) YAY! Sounds like a blast to me! I'll keep you all posted!
