There's a LOT of new Etsy news !

First off, there are some huge debates about graphic design flying around the forums. They were all over the front page of the Etsy forum main today, (it seems the debating has abated for this evening).

Secondly, and this is HOTHOTHOT- the changes to the Search & Category systems has been IMPLEMENTED! You can read a forum post about it here, and the Storque article here.

Etsy admin are also asking for your input about what you LOVE and HATE about PayPal. Chime in with your opinions by clicking here & commenting in this forum thread. (Ignore the "double post" information- there *was* a previous post, but the answers have been counted already & this new one started).

As per usual, there are some wonderful debates going on in the Etsy forums about another new change... "Report this post" link on each and every post in the Etsy forums. You can sign your name with a "yay" or "nay" on this forum thread, and read about the change straight from admin here.

I've been busy like a mad woman in these here parts. =*^.^*= What with the Wisconsin Street Team (WIST) and a few fairs here & there, I've been rocking in my socks just trying to keep up! *grins*

But this post isn't about me, (really!), it's more about the wonders of Etsy!

Etsy has been getting some seriously AWESOME PR- one article that seriously impressed me was written by Kerry Miller of Business Week. To top things off on an already amazing article, they kindly included a slideshow of some of Etsy's best & well-known.

If you've ever wondered what kind of in-print press that Etsy has been getting, you can check it out on Etsy. See all the articles, (from Rolling Stone Mag to the New York Times!).

And there's MORE.

Doing a Google search on "Etsy," (about 4,370,000 results) or "Etsy Articles" (about 418,000) can be a hazard to getting any work done. (But so much fun!).

Ok, I suppose some press is better than no press, but I'd say this review is so-so. *wry grins* Especially since it brings up a VERY hot topic that pervades the forums~ smoke and/or pet free environments. (Or maybe I'm just sensitive to that sort of thing). It always seems like those two go hand-in-hand. (Which is too bad, because pets don't smoke, and smoke doesn't, er, pets? /insert witty laughter/).
